INNSiDE Manchester Impressions

What are hotels doing to make us feel comfortable traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic? I went to the INNSIDE hotel in Manchester to have a look at the how their hotel operations have been adapted to keep guests and employees safe.

The INNSIDE by Meliá hotels are very successful all over Europe and the first one in the UK is located in Manchester. The brand offers a refreshing approach to hospitality to all of the guests, whether it’s for business or leisure. I’ve previously stayed in the INNSIDE Frankfurt and was very happy with my stay and was excited to visit another location.

This hotel is located in the heart of Manchester and is close to the shopping area and business district. All within walking distance which is a great way to explore the city.

The hotel is following the guidelines and upon entering you’ll find stations to disinfect your hands and the reception has protective screens. Only a limited amount of people are allowed in the elevators up to the rooms.

Check in went quickly and the staff was very welcoming and explained the breakfast situation for the next day. You can either order breakfast to your room (the night before) or go down to the restaurant and order a la cart/order from the buffet. We chose to go downstairs for breakfast and had a delicious start to the day, more on that later…

Hello Manchester!

The INNSIDE hotels have some of the best beds, feels like sleeping on a cloud! The room was spotless and had amenities like soap and lotion, body wash and shampoo that are refilled by housekeeping when needed. Not only good for the environment but also a great cost saver! A lot of trendy hotels go with this option.

We had a room with a city view, jackpot! Although the hotel is located by a train station and we could see the tracks from our room we couldn’t hear the trains pass by at all.

Smile! Can confirm these smell amazing.

Tea and coffee amenities came packaged up as well.

After a great day in Manchester, a delicious dinner and waking up well rested we were excited for breakfast! Breakfast is located on the ground floor in the most stylish restaurant.

A great selection of breakfast options! You can order from the a la carte menu (see above) or ask for items from the buffet which is what I did. The buffet items are listed on the menu as well and it was hard to not ask for everything as it all sounded so good!

The silverware is packed up extra which I’d never seen before but thought was a great idea. “This pouch has undergone thermal disinfection by combining head and steam to reduce harmful bacteria.”

Breakfast was delicious!

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would’ve liked to stay longer. I appreciate the friendly staff, the clean rooms and think it’s great that INNSIDE Manchester is so active on social media. Booking your stay online is easy and the INNSIDE by Meliá hotel chain is consistent in what they offer and their hospitality standards. We felt very safe staying at the hotel and were happy with the way they’re handling things!
