After having the King Street Townhouse on my “hotel wishlist” for a few months I finally booked a room for a weekend getaway. I was so looking forward to it and was not disappointed.
The Hotel is part of the Eclectic Hotel Collection which has two stunning hotels. King Street Townhouse is one of the bestsellers in Manchester on Booking.com, has great reviews and a good location in the city.
A lovely welcome treat and note was waiting for us which added a personal touch.
Bed was very comfy like everyone said. The room was very clean and had a cozy feel.
The bathroom was clean just like the rest of the room. The only thing I noticed I needed was some extra space for my toiletries.
Ladies, the lighting is fab for doing your makeup!
Afternoon tea was a must for us on a rainy afternoon.
Traditional Afternoon Tea was £24.50 per person. We decided to have ours with coffee and tea. I recommend to make a reservation beforehand just in case and so the kitchen staff can prepare accordingly. All of it was absolutely delicious!
“Our Traditional Afternoon Tea begins with delicate finger sandwiches served with the pièce de resistance three-tier stand with light, crusty scones and rich clotted cream accompanied by a variety of homemade cakes and pastries.”
Breakfast is served in the Tavern restaurant which has a very cozy feeling to it. Theres a small buffet and you can order warm dishes a la carte.
Infinity Spa Pool & Wellness
We visited the rooftop pool in the evening and it was pretty with all the lights. The pool is heated so you won’t freeze if it’s cold out.
After breakfast we visited the pool and wellness area again and it was the perfect way to end a relaxing weekend at the King Street Townhouse.
